Lions Camp Lamoille Clean-Up Days: June 1 & 2, 2019

The Elko Lions Club is hosting a clean-up weekend at Camp Lamoille to begin a multi-year restoration process due to last summer’s Range 2 Fire. Volunteers with gloves, tools, and able bodies are needed for either day or both days. Water and lunch will be provided. Saturday evening will include a BBQ dinner for all workers provided by the Lions Club.

Work will include, picking up trash, cleaning up burned brush and materials, dismantling sheds, cutting wood, shoveling dirt and debris, etc. It may be dirty work, but it will be rewarding work to assist with the overall rebuild. Tools needed include work gloves, boots, sunscreen, chainsaws, brush trimmers (loppers), rakes, shovels, magnets on sticks or wheels, etc.

We need a head count before the event so the Lions Club can coordinate logistics and food. If you would like to assist with this project, please contact Ben Reed, Walt O’Brien, or email [email protected]
